About marvin Lange

Marvin Lange

Marvin Lange (born March 8, 1996) discovered his fascination for the visual arts at an early age. Encounters with the haunting imagery of Zdzisław Beksiński, the poetic materiality of Anselm Kiefer, and the deeply human empathy of Käthe Kollwitz left a lasting mark on his artistic development.

Today, Lange’s work moves within the interplay of Surrealism, Abstraction, and expressive Figuration. His paintings are direct translations of inner states, shaped by personal experiences, societal impressions, and existential questions. Distinctive are his powerful, sweeping brushstrokes, oscillating between eruptive energy and quiet suggestion.

This fusion of emotional intensity and gestural freedom forms a unique visual signature. Lange’s works not only open aesthetic spaces for the viewer but also invite a profound emotional engagement – navigating between closeness and distance, reality and dream, transience and hope.

At the Kunsthaus Montez in Frankfurt with Puschan Mousavi Malvani and painter Marvin Lange from the County of Bentheim.

Malvani: „During the Classical Crisis on May 11th, we honor Brahms. Added to this is a unique feature of modern times.

The painter Marvin Lange heard recordings of my composition „3 Pictures“ for piano, which premiered last year, and decided to paint it. Marvin will be present with his team, and his paintings will be displayed around the grand piano. We haven’t yet spoken on the phone or written to each other. This evening will be our first, and certainly exciting, encounter.

Tara F.

Hi, I am Tara, and I currently have seven paintings from Marvin. The “Aura” painting I recently received was inspired by the typical colors of Southwest Florida, with its pristine turquoise waters, blue skies, golden sunsets, colorful birds, and palms. The painting found its perfect spot in my house and can be seen from many angles in the living room.

Just a few weeks ago, I received a set of two summer-inspired paintings, “Summer Breeze” and “Golden Summer.” The golden backgrounds perfectly match the Aura’s golden strokes.

My family, friends, and business partners are as enthused by Marvin’s paintings as I am, and I can’t wait to meet him again, either here in the US or in Germany. I am very fortunate to be one of his early collectors and promoters.

Rotterdam

In the meantime, three works by Marvin Lange have found their way into private collections in the Netherlands. This steadily growing exchange shows how his art resonates across borders and is deeply appreciated.

Some time ago, we once again had the pleasure of welcoming a guest from Rotterdam. He took great care and ample time to immerse himself in Marvin Lange’s works, to contemplate the play of colors, and to sense the depth of the motifs. Encounters like these are always special to us, as they reveal how individually and profoundly art can speak to each viewer.

In the end, the decision was made in favor of three paintings, which were carefully packed and safely transported to Rotterdam. There, they will now become part of a private collection – and, we hope, bring joy and inspiration each and every day.

Redray

The US singer Redray Frazier recently received a painting by Marvin Lange, which now holds a special place in his new music studio in Portland, Oregon. Hanging directly beside an original work by Keith Haring, the painting contributes to an inspiring and creative atmosphere.

The artwork has a tangible impact on Redray Frazier: it inspires him daily in his creative work and serves as a constant spark for new ideas. Here, music and visual art come together in a space where creativity is experienced on multiple levels.

This example demonstrates how Marvin Lange’s works not only captivate visually but also stimulate emotional and intellectual engagement. The presence of a single painting can provide motivation, joy, and new perspectives – highlighting the universal power of art to connect people across borders, cultures, and disciplines.

Aura

This work, titled Aura, draws the viewer into a vibrant world of color, form, and movement. With a dynamic combination of vivid greens, warm yellows and reds, and contrasting contours, it unfolds a composition that captures energy and emotion in a single moment. The delicate lines and circular patterns seem to pulse, creating an almost tangible presence – an aura that fills the space.

Aura is currently exhibited in the USA and represents the ability of art to transcend geographical boundaries, convey emotions, and touch the senses in a unique way.
